Phase Three Goods and Home-Start Norfolk

Home-Start Norfolk is a charity that provides early intervention support for young families in need and aims to give children the best possible start in life. The charity’s professional teams recruit, train and supervise volunteers, who visit families, including children from 0 to 5, who are struggling to cope. This bespoke support enables parents to develop their skills and confidence to provide better outcomes for their children; including improved health, happiness and readiness for learning.

Phase Three Goods is run by Bruce Sigrist, a freelance web designer who works specifically for small businesses, sole traders and creative start-ups. Services include website development, logo design, content development and SEO advice.

Project Summary – In 2017, Home-Start Norwich merged with the other Home-Start schemes in Norfolk to create Home-Start Norfolk. Norfolk ProHelp provided support with the HR implications of this significant restructure.

Home-Start came to ProHelp for support with developing a new website as the old one was out of date and the team were unable to manage it internally. And also the site needed to reflect the new organisation. Phase Three Goods stepped in to help. The value of this support if charged for would have been £700.

Impact

  • The new website reflects the new organisation post-restructure
  • The team are now able to easily manage the content and update the site themselves
  • The new website will enable Home-Start to better recruit volunteers, solicit donations and communicate with potential beneficiaries

“Working alongside ProHelp and Bruce, we have a fantastic new website.  The website is invaluable to our work and acts as a window into our service.  We were struggling to make changes to our previous website and Bruce has provided us with a clean, modern design and the tools we need to keep it updated and relevant.  Thanks so much to everyone for making this such an easy process.” Helen Chester, CEO, Home-Start Norfolk

“Home-Start Norfolk were a joy to work with. By reaching out to families across the county they’ve become an invaluable asset to the local area. To have helped them communicate their message was a privilege, and exactly the sort of venture Norfolk ProHelp aims to support.” Bruce Sigrist, Phase Three Goods
